The holistic approach that changed the way of working

Diös already had Lime CRM in place, but they asked themselves: how do we get more out of the system? How do we make it a genuine part of everyday work? The answer was to rethink both the technology and the way of working – together.

A dual investment in system and people

Diös already had Lime up and running, but they felt the system’s full potential wasn’t being realised. The way of working, and the interplay between people and system, needed sharpening.

– We realised we could get so much more out of Lime if we worked on the organisation’s processes and ways of working, rather than focusing mainly on the tool itself, like we’d done before,” says Sofie Stark, Head of Property at Diös.
Our main goals were to work in a more unified way, and to increase our use of Lime CRM so we could actually reach our business targets.

Diös therefore chose to make an investment that demanded a lot from the organisation, but one they are both happy and proud to have made. They invested in the system and the people at the same time.

Background

Diös is a property company focused on northern Sweden, offering office and retail space as well as housing. All their data on properties, tenants, contracts, history, and communication lives in Lime.

Previously, Diös worked in an older Lime solution that required an installed Windows client. When they decided to make a fresh start with Lime, one of the most important parts of that transition was moving to the far more modern web client.

– With a new, modern web-based solution, Diös can now manage their leasing and property management processes from any phone, laptop, or tablet. That fast, easy access to Lime has pushed user license usage up to around 95%, says Jens Dovander, Key Account Manager at Lime.

“Why do we need a system?”

When Diös decided to give Lime a real overhaul, they didn’t start with features or tabs. They started with a question:

“Why do we need a system, and what do we actually want it to help us do?”

Diös worked with Maria Sörlin Hagberg at Lime, who specialises in the property industry along with change management, leadership development and sales. Together, they identified Diös’s needs and goals, while also challenging the company to think in new ways.

– It’s probably easy for a supplier to simply adapt to what the customer asks for. But Lime really challenged us, and that has been incredibly valuable, says Sofie Stark, Head of Property at Diös.
– The assignment was about more than implementing a new platform. By working closely with Diös, we focused together on goals, processes and behaviours to create a way of working that would truly take hold across the organisation and deliver measurable business value, says Maria Sörlin Hagberg.

By focusing as much on people and ways of working as on the system itself, Diös created a change that is truly being embraced across the organisation. This laid the foundation for a system that supports the business, rather than the other way around.

A goal-oriented, holistic approach

The ambition was clear: to strengthen employees’ skills in sales and commercial thinking, establish a shared way of working that could easily be followed up and supported through coaching, and maximise the chances of achieving the organisation’s overall goals.

We had already made a major investment in developing skills across the company, but we wanted to put even greater focus on the sales journey and the customer perspective. This allowed us to take a truly holistic approach, says Annie Skoglund, Head of HR and Business Support at Diös.

Easy? No. Has Diös delivered? Without a doubt: yes.

Diös Sales Academy

The next step was Diös Sales Academy, an initiative aimed particularly at the commercial property managers, marking a real shift in how Diös approaches sales.

The programme included inspiring sessions on effective sales behaviours, how to drive deals forward, and how to make Lime CRM an integral part of everyday work.

Sales Academy was a way to create a shared direction and build a stronger team. The training was directly connected to the team’s day-to-day processes in Lime CRM, enabling them to put their new insights into practice from day one.

Double focus, multiplied results

Diös ran both initiatives in parallel: a major system overhaul alongside an equally important investment in skills, strategy, and behavioural change. The result was a more aligned team, working in a structured, proactive way with a clear sense of direction – a real boost for both individuals and the organisation as a whole.

When it all comes together

The results speak for themselves. As Jens Dovander, Key Account Manager at Lime, puts it:

”All the preparation work – the training, the new ways of working – made the move to the web client remarkably smooth. Going into the project, we already knew exactly how Diös wanted to work with their business processes and what goals they were aiming for.”

Diös shows that when system and skills work towards the same goal, proactivity, structure, and results stop being just a vision, they become everyday reality.

Sofie Stark: “I’m incredibly proud of the organisation, we’ve genuinely made huge progress.”

Maria Sörlin Hagberg: It has been an impressive journey for Diös. It’s great to see the impact when a system actually supports reality, and how it helps Diös drive the business forward.

Diös advice to others

“The timing will never be perfect. You’ll never find that gap in the calendar you’re hoping for. You have to create the time yourself.”

“What I’d say to others is that it worked really well to run both parts at the same time. You need the courage to actually commit, to tackle the things you know aren’t working. And it’s so much easier to get people on board with Lime when they can see how it helps them do their job “
